Trip and stay at Vancouver, in British Columbia (Canada).
New places (Grouse Mountain, Kitsilano, Bowen Island, Deep Cove) with new roomates (Yuki, Stéphane, Joséphine and Brendan). At the end of this summer, I also moved to a new appartment, very close to the skytrain. Ready for the winter!
From Vancouver along the American West Coast: Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. I was with Colette, Muriel, Jean-Daniel and Dad in a rented Dodge Caravan V6 (automatic speeds).
Sunny pictures from Autumn 2006 at Stanley Park, White Rock and the Deer Lake with my roommates from Seoul (Korea).
At the end of September 2006, I spent ten days in a youth hotel on Granville Street, looking for a place to live. The weather was good, perfect for visiting downtown and Stanley Park.
With this long trop from Reunion to Vancouver, I had the chance to meet again Paul, Olivier, Laure and Yann in Paris, the Peverelly family, Aurélie, Irina, Celly and Ekaterina in Montréal! I didn't take pictures of everyone, however.
Back to Reunion for 2004 Christmas holidays. Finally, I decided to stay there, after a quick trip to Strasbourg to get my mac and other stuff.
Just three days to get my Apple G4, make some pictures, go to Kehl in Germany, eat a last time a chicken doner and say bye to Fabrice and Rodica.
Summer pictures at Reunion island: Plaine des Palmistes, shore at Champ Borne and Saint-Benoît, Sainte-Anne church, Barachois at Saint-Denis and some photos of the West Coast.
Bobine, the black female dog. Three female cats: Zoopie (black nose), Mina (pink nose) and Pitchoune (gray). Chikens, blue-eyed female goats and pigs. Be aware that this arrangement can change at any time.
With Varinka, Fabien, Yann, who were back for Christmas holidays, and Jimmy. In the morning we went to watch old lava from the active volcano, Piton de la Fournaise. Zambrocal (rice and beans) and rougail saucisses (sausages with spicy tomatoes sauce) for lunch at Anse des Cascades (waterfalls). Then we went to Sainte-Rose's harbour and the old Rivière de l'Est's bridge.
Six months at Nantes just before graduating: cinema with Guillaume Grondin every week, iced-tea, diabolo or crêpes in Bouffay area with David Fenneteau and Guillaume Montaron. Thanks to Yvan for the photos!
Samuel and Yvan came from Rennes to visit Nantes, Guillaume and I: walk in downtown, good meals (especially a strawberry crepe with Chantilly cream, a French sweet and light whipped cream), boat trip on l'Erdre, discovery of a small island in the middle of Nantes with zen-style garden, thailand restaurant, cinema (Spiderman 2), club (Quai Qest), and finally sleep. The next day: Quick fast food, slow walk across downtown again and eventually bye-bye at the train station.
Cold and very windy. Walk on the city's walls, lunch in a simple but nice restaurant followed by waffles, then some rest on the beach. We left after visiting the Aquarium.
It was the first time I went to Rennes, where Laurent, Samuel, Charles and Yvan were studying. The trip by train took one hour and half. We walked in downtown and played bowling. Guillaume and I slept at Laurent and Elodie's nice appartment. The next day, we visited the Gayeulles park, Rennes' biggest park.
From September 2003 to April 2004: my last university year in Computer Science with Fabrice, Olivier, David, Fx, Guillaume...
Two days in north of Germany at Detmold with Laure, Natalia and Irina, not far from Paderborn. Tour of Bremen, famous thanks to "Bremen Town Musicians", the Borthers Grimm fairy tale.
Dessert at La Meinau at with Stephanie, Deborah, Sandrine, David, Fx et Guillaume. Background music from Fabrice's Winamp :-p
Ribeauville, Riquewihr are cute and typical, close to the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle. Tour by David in his car ! Free distribution of cookies in front of cake shops at Riquewihr. However there're no photos of that (no more hands available!).
Middle Ages architecture, built by Frederic le Borgne in 1105 to enforce his power in Alsace. Partially destroyed by wars, it has been renovated. An uncommon feature: its pink stone. The view from the high windows is both gorgeous and peaceful.
Typical houses, famous places like la Petite France, la place Broglie, some religious temples, le Palais des Droits de l'Homme and le Parlement: pretty summer 2003 photos by Fabrice.
